Good Samaritan in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide experienced, resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will work under an RN and participate in daily living activities, vital signs, and restorative programs to support residents’ health and well-being.

The role emphasizes accountability, infection control, and teamwork within the nursing staff, with an emphasis on maintaining a high standard of care and forming positive resident

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains education credits.
• May be required to complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• The Senior Nursing Assistant serves as an experienced caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Delivers age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs per care plan.
• Assists with basic health care needs including daily living activities and vital signs.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation, dining, and assisting with meals.
• Assists residents with transfers, repositioning, and walking with correct techniques.
• Documents resident interactions and communicates changes to charge nurse.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services and participates in wellness programs.
• May participate in departmental/organization committees and restorative programs.
