Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant for the GSS SD Tyndall Center in Tyndall, SD. The role is evenings, full-time, with a 40-hour week and a salary range of $21.00 to $29.50 per hour. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is included.

You will provide resident-centered care under RN supervision and support other staff as needed. Responsibilities include basic health care activities, vital signs, and daily living assistance, while adhering to infection control policies and PPE use.

Job Summary

The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as an experienced caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Demonstrates expert level experience as a certified nursing assistant and assists other staff as needed. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Often works as a support to other clinical staff in addition to assuming own responsibilities. Leads in problem solving and maintaining high accountability. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident.
