Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Engineering and Testing (CMT) Senior Project Manager to support growth in Utah. The role emphasizes project management, business development, supervision of inspection/testing staff, and collaboration with clients on complex construction programs in the Mountain West.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction services with emphasis on CMT
• 5+ years of project management experience
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience
• Experience in marketing, proposal writing and fee development
• Experience in materials testing and soils laboratory supervision
• Strong communication and leadership to guide project teams

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and engage in business development with existing and new clients.
• Combine technical delivery with strategic business development to expand the firm’s footprint in local markets.
• Uphold high standards of professional service rooted in quality, risk management, profitability, client satisfaction, safety, and reliable execution.
• Provide strong technical leadership in construction materials testing and special inspection services.
• Mentor and guide a team of inspectors and technicians, supporting their growth and elevating overall performance.
• Take charge of every project phase from kickoff to closeout across various projects.
• Oversee remote operations, including on-site laboratory testing, ensuring seamless coordination and high-quality results.
