Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Gresham, Oregon, is seeking a Senior Technician-Equipment (CMP) to maintain CMP tools on the back-night compressed work week. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, safety awareness, and teamwork.

You will service AMAT Mirra/Mirra Mesa, DNSE AS2000 Post-Clean, Daifuku Stockers, and wafer-handling tools, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical systems and documentation. Strong communication and self-direction are essential.

Qualifications

• AA degree in a technical field or planned completion within current academic year
• 7+ years CMP equipment maintenance experience
• Strong electronic and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to apply theoretical concepts in practical maintenance
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Self-directed, team-oriented with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of CMP equipment, including AMAT Mirra and Mirra Mesa tools, DNSE AS2000 Post Clean and Daifuku Stockers
• Trouble-shooting electronic, electrical, and mechanical problems
• Work safely with systems that contain radiation, electrical, mechanical, liquid, and gas hazards
• Disassemble, adjust, and repair equipment according to maintenance specifications and OEM manuals
• Present issues and solutions to the group
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Must be a self-starter who can plan effectively, re-prioritize and ask for help when needed
