Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise is seeking a Senior Wet Etch Equipment Engineer dedicated to safety, quality, and manufacturing excellence. You will install, maintain, and optimize wet etching equipment in our new cleanroom, and work with process engineers to improve yield.

This role requires hands-on work, collaboration, and strong analytical skills; BS or MS in Engineering, plus 2+ years in wet process equipment ownership. Our Boise expansion offers growth in a pioneering semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industry experience working as Equipment Owner with Wet Process Equipment.
  • BS or Masters in the Engineering field, or equivalent military experience / AAS with 5+ years industry experience.
  • Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn to improve workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Install and qualify industry leading wet process equipment in our new cleanroom.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and document wet process equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with process engineers to resolve equipment-related production issues.
  • Use project management to close hardware gaps and meet milestones.
  • Build productive vendor relations to ensure top-tier equipment metrics.
  • Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance strategies.

As a Senior Wet Etch Equipment Engineer, with a strong focus on safety and quality, you will play a meaningful role in improving our manufacturing processes by focusing on the installation, maintenance, optimization, and development of our wet etching equipment. Your expertise will give to the production of high-quality semiconductor components that are pivotal to our customers' success. You will work closely with multi-functional teams to tackle equipment issues and implement solutions that improve efficiency and yield. Your passion for engineering and willingness to learn will help us overcome the challenges of this fast-paced industry. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values collaboration, and is eager to dive deep into the technical aspects of semiconductor manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Installation and qualification of industry leading wet process equipment in our new cleanroom
  • Wet process equipment performance, including data analysis, preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation
  • Collaborate with process engineers to identify and resolve equipment-related issues affecting production
  • Use project management skills to complete project milestones that close hardware gaps around equipment deficiencies
  • Establish productive vendor relations to maintain supplier engagement, driving best in class equipment metrics
  • Develop and implement Total Productive Maintenance strategies
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of industry experience working as Equipment Owner with Wet Process Equipment
  • BS or Masters in the Engineering field, equivalent military experience or AAS with 5+yr industry experience
  • Good understanding of Agentic AI or willingness to learn Agentic AI to help developed efficient workflow.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficient in Data Science and Programming skills
