Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Systems Engineer to own a complex enterprise IT environment spanning cloud infrastructure, on-prem systems, security, networking, Microsoft 365, and modernization initiatives. This hands‑on role requires a leader capable of driving planning, procurement, and deployment across multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate has Azure, M365, Active Directory expertise, and experience managing diverse tech stacks.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience supporting Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, virtualization, storage, and networking technologies.
• Strong understanding of enterprise security concepts and administration.
• Experience supporting both cloud and on-prem infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to independently own, build, and maintain enterprise systems.
• Experience leading infrastructure projects from design through deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple technical domains.

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Systems Engineer to take ownership of a complex enterprise IT environment spanning cloud infrastructure, on-prem systems, security, networking, Microsoft 365, and modernization initiatives. This is a highly hands-on role for an experienced engineer who has successfully managed and supported a broad technology stack, rather than working within a specialized silo. The ideal candidate will lead infrastructure planning, cloud transformation, security initiatives, system administration, and operational support while serving as a key technical resource responsible for maintaining and evolving the organization's technology environment. Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, virtualization, storage, Windows Server, and enterprise security is essential. This individual must be comfortable driving projects from planning and procurement through implementation and ongoing support while balancing both strategic and operational responsibilities. Based on the meeting discussion, the organization is looking for someone capable of assuming ownership of the environment and operating as a senior technical leader across multiple disciplines. This is remote but within 2 hours of Charlottesville, VA and willing to come on-site when needed. salary ranges from 85K-110K.
