Job summary

Regions Bank in Hoover, Alabama seeks a Cloud Solutions Architect to oversee cloud architectures, lifecycle, design, and alignment with the cloud roadmap and security standards. You will translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, focusing on reliability and compliance.

You will define platform roadmaps for Kafka/Confluent and streaming-first architectures, partner with risk, security, and engineering teams, and drive modernization while mentoring delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field with 5 years of architecture experience
• Or high school diploma with 9 years of enterprise architecture experience
• Experience with N-tier architectures and Agile methods
• Experience delivering architecture for cloud platforms
• Knowledge of security, data governance and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Oversee cloud solution architectures end-to-end from conception to production
• Elicit requirements and translate into scalable technical solutions
• Design and model cloud architectures for delivery, development, and support
• Collaborate on roadmaps to align IT priorities with business needs
• Promote reusable services and infrastructure as code to reduce costs
• Ensure cloud solutions are observable and secure by design
