Job summary

Dunbar Consulting is seeking an experienced software developer to build features in a cloud-native AWS environment. The role involves implementing user stories, writing tests, code reviews, supporting CI/CD, and leveraging AI-assisted tools across the SDLC.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software development, strong knowledge of modern languages and version control, familiarity with AWS and CI/CD concepts, and the ability to work both independently and with a technical team in a HYBRID

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with modern languages/frameworks and version control.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development on AWS and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests and participating in code reviews.
• Understanding of secure coding practices and software quality principles.
• Ability and willingness to use approved AI-assisted development tools while independently reviewing output.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement user stories and features on a cloud-native AWS stack.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Fix defects and support continuous delivery.
• Use AI-assisted development tools across the SDLC and validate generated output.
• Collaborate with the team on design and refinement.
• Support secure coding and accessibility requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD and automation.
• Identify risks or blockers early and communicate them.
• Participate in requirements gathering and story refinement.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, product owners, architects, and analysts.
