Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a Journeyman SOAR Engineer to strengthen detection automation across SIEM environments. You will lead SOAR initiatives, develop detection logic, and integrate automation within CI/CD pipelines in a fast-growing cybersecurity firm in the Las Vegas area.

The role emphasizes securing critical infrastructure, continuous improvement of detection capabilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement secure automation and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity and automation.
• Proficient with SOAR tools and automation scripting.
• DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs).
• Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for SOAR technologies and automation within the SIEM environment.
• Integrate automated detection logic into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git).
• Automate detection logic with various log sources in a central SIEM.
• Fully manage and maintain the detection lifecycle and automated response.
• Monitor SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk) and log analytics for threats.
