Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a hybrid role in Boston, MA. The position requires on-site work three days per week within a 6+ month contract and focuses on building scalable detection capabilities and incident response across cloud-native environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in security or related fields, strong Python/Go skills, and hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines. AI/ML in security interest is appreciated.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in security or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Go.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms and modern infra (AWS, Kubernetes, containers, IaC).
• Experience with SIEM, log pipelines, and threat detection.
• Familiar with Git-based workflows and CI/CD automation.
• Ability to translate threats into concrete detections and responses.
• Interest in applying AI/ML to cybersecurity challenges.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance scalable detection capabilities using an engineering-first approach.
• Develop and maintain systems that identify and mitigate threats across the organization.
• Create detection logic as code (rule-based and ML-driven) with automated tests and pipelines.
• Manage incident response end-to-end, including on-call participation.
• Improve detection and response with automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Ingest and structure security telemetry for analytics and investigations.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate security into cloud-native architectures.
