Job summary

Halcyon Days Consulting, LLC is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer/Cloud Security Engineer to design and implement security for Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Azure Sentinel with governance and compliance focus. Location is Tampa, FL, with a veteran-owned team delivering cloud platforms for mission networks.

The role requires 9+ years in cloud engineering, strong Azure expertise, and experience in hybrid cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, TFS, and PowerShell.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in cloud platform engineering or related IT fields.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Cloud technologies, including Azure AD Premium and Office 365.
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Key Vault, Redis Cache, Service Bus, NSGs, Application Insights, SQL DB, and OMS.
• Must be capable of designing and supporting ADFS identity solutions and managing Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with hybrid cloud deployments and migrations to Azure. Familiarity with CI/CD practices using Jenkins, TFS, and PowerShell.
• Ability to provide second-level support for compute, network and storage issues in Azure or AWS environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud security architectures within Azure using Zero Trust principles.
• Automate security processes and integrate security tooling into mission pipelines.
• Implement cloud-native security controls, such as firewalls, encryption, IAM policies, and logging/monitoring.
• Design and implement complex networks (LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets).
• Perform network modeling, capacity planning, and infrastructure analysis.
• Design and implement network and computer security measures.
• Research and recommend significant changes.
• Act as a technical expert across multiple concurrent projects.
• May supervise and mentor junior team members.
