Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer for our Finance domain to help secure cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP. This hybrid role requires you to split time between an office and remote work, with an average of 2 days on-site in California.

You will partner with SRE, architecture, and product teams to implement security-by-design, drive risk-based improvements, and mentor junior engineers as part of a collaborative security program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• Typically, 7-10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with SRE , architecture, and application teams to implement security best practices and secure-by-design principles in the cloud .
• Partners with multiple stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and improve security initiatives to mitigate risks towards HPE networking cloud environments and assets .
• Collaborates with stakeholders such as engineering, product management, other security teams, program managers and partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, and support of cloud security engagements.
• Monitor and improve cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, leveraging metrics to drive improvements and governance .
• Support compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives as needed.
• Represents the security engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the networking organization.

• Comfortable designing and implementing AI-assisted security controls.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level.

United States of America: Annual Salary USD 155,500 - 315,000 in California

The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
