Job summary

Strategic Resources International Inc. seeks a Senior Cloud Controls Engineer to advance deploy-time security across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will design policy-as-code controls (OPA/Rego, Regula) and integrate them into Terraform pipelines, ensuring scalable security across enterprise services.

You will mentor peers, craft reusable policy libraries, and align controls with runtime and governance needs, partnering with risk, architecture, and engineering teams to strengthen security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on cloud security engineering experience.
• Proven experience designing policy-as-code controls using OPA/Rego and Regula in production.
• Deep hands-on Terraform expertise, including module design and secure configuration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement deploy-time security controls for cloud services across Azure, AWS, and GCP using OPA (Rego) and Regula.
• Translate baseline requirements into policy-as-code controls integrated into Terraform workstreams and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute across the control implementation lifecycle: interpretation, policy writing, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain reusable policy libraries and modules for consistency and scalability.
• Provide hands-on guidance in OPA/Rego, Regula, Terraform, and secure pipeline design.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to raise engineering quality.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, security architecture, and application teams to reduce delivery friction.
• Contribute to cloud security strategy, standards, and a unified control framework.
