Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Software Developer specializing in Cloud Platforms. Hybrid role designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will lead CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and mentor peers in a dynamic Randburg-based tech environment.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in software development with 3+ years in cloud, microservices, and containerization, plus strong API design and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years focused on cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications and microservices.
• Architect and implement solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of cloud environments and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
