Relativity is seeking an experienced cloud-native leader to design, build, and operate distributed, scalable cloud services that process large data sets. You will provide technical direction across frontend, backend, and data layers, and mentor engineers to uphold reliability and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing, building and operating cloud-native systems.
• Ability to set technical direction and lead teams effectively.
• Hands-on experience designing and building distributed, multi-tenant systems.
• Ownership of CI/CD, observability, and service reliability.
• Strong product and systems thinking balancing delivery speed with long-term sustainability.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
• Hands-on experience running Kubernetes in production, including cluster lifecycle and infrastructure as code.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud networking, and security in a multi-tenant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and operation of distributed, scalable cloud services.
• Provide clear technical direction across frontend, backend, and data layers.
• Collaborate daily with a diverse team to build AI-powered legal data solutions at scale.
• Mentor engineers and lead through technical expertise and judgement.
• Establish and evolve engineering standards through reviews and best practices.
• Align team execution with product strategy and remove technical friction.
• Lead service ownership by driving reliability, on-call practices, and incident analysis.
• Own delivery of platform capabilities across cluster lifecycle and automation.
• Partner with consuming teams to onboard workloads onto the platform.
• Drive platform efficiency and cost balance across surface areas.
