Job summary

Referment, partnering with a top global hedge fund, seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and evolve a resilient cloud platform across AWS and Azure. You will build cloud-native platforms, implement automation, and establish engineering standards used globally.

The role spans architecture, automation, security and reliability, with influence across multiple regions. You will own the end-to-end cloud stack, including identity management, encryption, networking and multi-region DR strategies,

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in cloud/infrastructure engineering or similar
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure
• Experience with IaC (Terraform/Ansible) and container platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain highly available cloud infra across AWS and Azure
• Shape cloud architecture and engineering standards for a global investment business
• Build cloud-native platforms with containers, microservices, serverless tech, Docker and Kubernetes
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible and other automation tools
• Create automated deployment pipelines for faster, safer infra changes
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, security and cost
• Implement observability with CloudWatch, Grafana and Datadog
• Strengthen IAM, encryption, network security and cloud controls
• Design disaster recovery, backup, multi-region architecture
• Collaborate with global colleagues and MSPs to evolve the environment
• Document architectures, standards and cloud best practices
