Job summary

Exelixis Inc. seeks an Associate Principal Engineer – Cloud Platform to shape cloud products, tooling, and automation in AWS. You will drive CI/CD pipelines, IaC practices, and data governance while collaborating with application teams to streamline deployment and configuration.

You will mentor engineers, set platform standards, and influence technical direction across the organization, ensuring scalable, compliant solutions in a regulated biotech environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of AWS data services for storage, processing, analytics, security, and compute.
• Experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark, and dbt for data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud platform strategy and roadmaps across teams.
• Lead end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, and production monitoring.
• Mentor engineers; act as SME for cloud platform direction.
• Ensure governance, access controls, and data quality across platforms.
