Job summary

Prudential Financial in Newark, NJ is seeking a Senior Network & Cloud Engineer to join GT&O. You will design, implement, and operate cloud and network services across AWS, on-prem, and hybrid environments, partnering with product owners and engineers to deliver scalable infrastructure and secure connectivity.

You will own transitions for AWS Transit Gateway, Cloud WAN, and Direct Connect, while applying BGP, DNS, and routing expertise.

Qualifications

Extensive experience designing, configuring and troubleshooting AWS Transit Gateway and Cloud WAN.
Hands-on experience with Direct Connect and hybrid cloud connectivity patterns.
Strong networking fundamentals including BGP, TCP/IP, and DNS concepts.
Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, shell, or Groovy) and IaC tools.
Experience with SDLC and secure, compliant cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

Design, configure and troubleshoot AWS Transit Gateway attachments and routing across multi-region deployments.
Collaborate with Core Network on DX implementations and circuit provisioning, owning cloud-side delivery.
Provide hybrid connectivity solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and automate roadmaps.
Develop and enforce network security, DNS architectures, and cost-capacity driven standards.
Partner with product owners and engineers to translate needs into robust technical designs.
