Job summary

Sentara in Virginia Beach seeks a Senior Specialty Infrastructure Engineer to maintain cloud, network, and telecom infrastructure, and ensure data and voice flow across the organization.

The hybrid role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or 7+ years without), and CCNP preferred. On-site work at Sentara sites with PPE is required, with a comprehensive benefits package and potential incentives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Required) or 7+ years of relevant experience without a Bachelor’s degree (Required)
• CCNP Certification (Preferred)
• Solid Cisco Catalyst route/switch experience; knowledge of BGP routing a plus

Responsibilities

• Works independently with general supervision.
• Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex; may influence others within the job area.
• Troubleshoot, install, repair, and replace physical networking equipment on Sentara sites.
