Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Staff Cloud Network Engineer to lead secure, resilient cloud networking across AWS and Azure in a remote, contract role. You will design hub-and-spoke networks, deploy Palo Alto firewalls, and automate with Terraform while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure performance, security, and observability.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of cloud networking, strong hands-on AWS/Azure experience, and a track record of delivering multi-region, multi-account

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, implementing, and supporting complex production network environments with cloud networking responsibilities.
• Advanced hands-on experience with AWS and Azure networking, with deep expertise in at least one.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of secure, highly available network architectures across AWS and Azure.
• Architect multi-region, multi-account connectivity using Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud WAN, and Virtual WAN.
• Develop standardized designs for routing, segmentation, and hybrid connectivity.
• Build network automation with Terraform and Python/Ansible; establish CI/CD for changes.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with Cloud, Platform, Security teams to improve observability and security.
