Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking an experienced Architect to steer scalable, secure software across Polaris’s digital platforms. You will drive enterprise-aligned design, mentor teams, and deliver maintainable solutions while working remotely with purposeful in-person engagements across Polaris sites.

The role emphasizes cloud-native on Azure, front-end with Angular, and strong architectural patterns within an agile environment. Travel to Polaris locations is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of web application development experience with C#, ASP.NET, and related frameworks.
• 2+ years in an Application Architect role.
• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and secure application design principles.
• Relational database design and development using SQL Server.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience in agile development environments.
• Remote-based role with travel to Polaris locations as needed; not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, cloud-native applications aligned with enterprise architecture principles and patterns.
• Lead design and development of applications using C#, ASP.NET, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and implement single-page applications using Angular and modern frontend patterns.
• Evaluate solutions balancing custom development with third-party capabilities.
• Collaborate with solution architects to define cross-team strategies and integration approaches.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams, emphasizing clean architecture.
