Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help design modern infrastructure platforms, automation tools, and backend services for large-scale cloud environments. This hands-on role requires cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, scalable solutions using cloud-native tech.

You will work with Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust, in Linux, leveraging Kubernetes and IaC tools to drive automation, testing, and CI/CD across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Backend apps in Go, Python, Java, C++, or Rust.
• Hands-on Linux environments experience.
• Kubernetes or other container orchestration experience.
• Solid cloud infrastructure and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience building APIs, automation platforms, or infrastructure services; testing, VCS, CI/CD.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation for infrastructure deployment and lifecycle management.
• Build scalable backend applications and internal tools.
• Create automation to improve cloud operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with network, platform, and security teams on initiatives.
• Develop APIs and services enabling self-service for internal teams.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and automation best practices.
• Integrate automated testing and deployment into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions.
• Monitor and improve system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to distributed systems for large-scale compute workloads.
