Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Infra Systems team. You will own cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives across AWS and GCP, driving standardization, self-service tooling, and guardrails.

You’ll partner with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing to deliver secure, scalable platform primitives. You will lead multi-cloud projects, improve reliability, and push for reusable, production-ready infrastructure across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years building/operating production cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
• Strong backend programming skills in Go or Python.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-cloud infrastructure initiatives spanning AWS, GCP, and Networking.
• Build self-service tooling and paved-road defaults for safe provisioning.
• Partner with Compute, Infra Security, and Routing to embed guardrails into infrastructure provisioning.
• Drive infrastructure standardization across Coinbase's multi-cloud environment.
• Lead technical investigations and operational improvements across infrastructure boundaries.
