Job summary

MANTECH in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Cloud Information Systems Security Engineer to join our on-site team. You will lead a security program across RMF lifecycles for FBI IT systems, coordinating risk assessments and compliance activities.

The role requires extensive experience in secure design, testing, and documentation of controls, plus certifications such as CISSP or CEH and a Cloud credential. Strong leadership and communication with stakeholders are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 6 years extra in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems; 6.5+ years with Master’s.
• 8+ years applying methods to ensure baseline safeguards are implemented and documented; 6.5+ years with Master’s.
• 8+ years creating/updating security test plans to detect and mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

• Oversee comprehensive security control assessments and prepare critical risk management documentation for system authorization and executive decisions.
• Manage ongoing monitoring, continuous assessment activities, and metric collection to adapt security strategies and maintain sustained compliance.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on risk analysis, incident response, remediation, and audits, while communicating status and risks to stakeholders.

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (6 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).
• 8 + years of experience in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems and products (6.5 + years of experience with Master's Degree).
• 8 + years of experience applying methods, standards and approaches for ensuring the baseline security safeguards are appropriately implemented and documented (6.5 + years of experience with Master's Degree).
• 8 + years of experience creating and updating security test plans for detecting and mitigating risk to information systems (6.5 + years of experience with Master's Degree).
• Must possess a CISSP or CEH certification, a Cloud certification, and one of the following: CCNP Enterprise, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, or GDSA.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.

Clearance Requirements

• Must have a current/active TS with SCI Eligibility.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
