Job summary

ManTech seeks a Senior Cloud Information Systems Security Engineer to lead RMF lifecycle activities for FBI IT systems in Huntsville, AL. This on-site role requires directing security controls, assessments, and continuous monitoring across lifecycles.

You will provide SME guidance on risk analysis, incident response, remediation, and audits, while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure sustained compliance and secure design practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, with 6 additional years in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of experience in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems and products (6.5+ years with Master’s).
• 8+ years applying methods, standards and approaches for baseline security safeguards and documentation (6.5+ years with Master’s).
• 8+ years creating and updating security test plans for detecting and mitigating risk to information systems.
• Must possess CISSP or CEH, a Cloud certification, and one of CCNP Enterprise, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, or GDSA.
• Clearance: TS with SCI Eligibility; ability to obtain a Polygraph.

Job description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL . This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but is not limited to:

• Lead and supervise a team of security professionals managing the end-to-end implementation of the RMF lifecycle for FBI IT systems.

• Coordinate RMF preparation step activities and guide system categorization efforts based on mission impact and regulatory requirements.

• Advise on the selection, tailoring, and documentation of security controls aligned with Bureau risk appetite and compliance standards.

• Direct the deployment of technical, operational, and management controls across system lifecycles, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

• Oversee comprehensive security control assessments and prepare critical risk management documentation for system authorization and executive decisions.

• Manage ongoing monitoring, continuous assessment activities, and metric collection to adapt security strategies and maintain sustained compliance.

• Provide subject-matter expertise on risk analysis, incident response, remediation, and audits, while communicating status and risks to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (6 additional years of experience in lieu of degree).

• 8 + years of experience in secure design, analysis, and testing of information security systems and products (6.5 + years of experience with Master's Degree).

• 8 + years of experience applying methods, standards and approaches for ensuring the baseline security safeguards are appropriately implemented and documented (6.5 + years of experience with Master's Degree).

• 8 + years of experience creating and updating security test plans for detecting and mitigating risk to information systems (6.5 + years of experience with Master's Degree).

• Must possess a CISSP or CEH certification, a Cloud certification, and one of the following: CCNP Enterprise, CISM, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, or GDSA.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS with SCI Eligibility.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
