Job summary

ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION LLC is seeking a senior Software Development Engineer to lead the migration of ETL jobs and databases from on‑prem to AWS cloud. You will be a hands‑on developer, building new ETL solutions, understanding existing jobs, and guiding the team in data quality, compliance, and production support.

Responsibilities include designing ETL in Glue PySpark for Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL, developing scalable full‑stack applications or APIs, and ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT or related field.
• 8+ years in ETL development, data warehousing, AWS, and API development.
• Strong proficiency in AWS services, data integration, and loading processes.
• Expertise in scripting: DataStage or Informatica, Shell, Perl, Python.
• Experience with REST/SOAP API development.
• Advanced AWS usage: Glue, Step Functions, Airflow, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.
• SQL proficiency with DB2 on AIX and AWS databases like RDS/Aurora/Redshift.
• Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins CI/CD, data analysis tools like Excel/Tableau.
• AWS certifications and AI/ML knowledge are a plus.
• Familiarity with automotive data warehousing concepts and Agile.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of ETL jobs/databases from on-prem to AWS Cloud, building new ETL solutions as needed.
• Understand all existing on-prem ETL jobs and guide the team as an expert.
• Develop ETL in Glue PySpark to load data into Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Create scalable full‑stack apps and APIs when required.
• Perform data validation, quality checks, and compliance with business rules.
• Collaborate with data analysts/architects to ensure data accuracy and reporting.
• Automate ETL processes and orchestrate workloads across on‑prem and cloud.
• Provide production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Document processes, mappings, data flows, APIs, and support procedures.
• Communicate technical concepts to larger audiences and stay updated on best practices.
