Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer focused on Cloud & Enterprise Networking to lead architecture across Azure, AWS and hybrid environments. You will design secure, scalable connectivity patterns, including VPNs, SD-WAN, and hub/spoke topology, and manage cloud networking resources.

The role requires strong expertise in BGP routing, hands-on firewall management, and coordinating with carriers to ensure high availability and performance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in BGP routing and network design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Cisco Meraki full stack.
• Proven experience designing and implementing cloud networking architectures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, firewall, and connectivity domains.
• Experience working directly with telecom carriers and ISPs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design enterprise and cloud networking architectures (Azure, AWS, hybrid).
• Develop and execute network consolidation strategies across environments and units.
• Define secure, scalable connectivity patterns incl. site-to-site, VPNs, SD-WAN, hub/spoke models.
• Design and manage networking in Azure; familiarity with AWS/GCP.
• Implement and maintain VNets/VPCs, peering, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, NSGs, firewalls.
• Coordinate with vendors during deployments, escalations, and outages.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point; mentor junior engineers; maintain runbooks and standards.
