Job summary

Applied Information Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Engineer IV to design and implement secure, scalable Azure Government solutions with IaC and automation. You will lead cloud migrations, ensure compliance, and optimize platforms while mentoring the team.

The role requires a strong background in networking, security concepts, and 3+ years in Azure Government, with active clearance and relevant cloud certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience, or Master’s Degree and 10+ years, or 7 years with PhD; degrees in IT/CS or related fields are highly desired.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Active certifications in cloud/security (e.g., AWS/Azure/CASP/CISSP etc.) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, risk management, and cyber security principles.
• At least 3 years of experience with Microsoft Azure Government.
• Proven experience designing flexible, scalable, highly-available cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions on Azure Government (PaaS/IaaS).
• Develop IaC and CI/CD pipelines; automate deployment and governance.
• Lead cloud migration plans, ensuring security and compliance.
• Evaluate and enhance cloud management platforms and performance.
• Guide stakeholders on best practices, cost optimization, and security.
• Document designs, participate in reviews, and mentor junior staff.
