Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in a remote, contract role. The candidate will lead automation-first operations using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices, enforce zero-trust and security standards, and drive modernization initiatives across Azure and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Must be able to work with no sponsorship in the US.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher).
• Minimum 8 years of IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years Azure cloud engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS.
• Ensure scalability, resiliency, and high availability of cloud services.
• Drive automation using PowerShell, Bicep, ARM templates, and Terraform.
• Integrate infrastructure workflows with CI/CD pipelines for standardized deployments.
• Lead migration of workloads from on-prem to Azure cloud and hybrid architectures.
