Job summary

Lincoln Financial is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps engineer to design, build, automate, and support enterprise AWS cloud solutions. You will develop automation in Python and IaC, and drive CI/CD pipelines with GitLab while evaluating AI/ML capabilities.

You will partner with architects, security, and operations to deliver scalable, secure cloud-native services, and contribute to documentation and best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and architecture.
• Strong Python development and automation skills.
• Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AI and Machine Learning technologies and platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and governance principles.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and support enterprise cloud solutions within AWS.
• Develop and maintain cloud automation using Python and Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Evaluate, implement, and support AI and machine learning capabilities and services.
• Partner with architects, developers, security teams, and operations teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Implement cloud best practices related to security, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud platform and application issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across cloud engineering processes and tooling.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
