Job summary

Bixal is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS for data, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.

You will work with Terraform, Databricks, and GitHub Actions, coordinating with engineering and security teams to automate and optimize the data platform. The role supports a remote work arrangement within the United States, with a focus on secure, compliant architectures and strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field plus 4+ years of experience.
• Strong hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC tooling.
• Experience administering Databricks environments.
• Strong understanding of AWS services and security controls.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience supporting production data platforms and AI/ML infrastructure.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, deployment, and operations of cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise data platforms, analytics workloads, and AI/ML capabilities across development, validation, and production environments.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to provision, manage, and standardize AWS and Databricks resources.
• Develop automation tooling using Python, Bash, and cloud APIs to improve operational efficiency.
• Support enterprise identity and access management patterns and automate permission management.
• Implement and maintain observability and audit logging solutions across cloud and Databricks environments.
