As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you’ll design and manage modern cloud infrastructures that support high‑stakes national security operations. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support multi‑cloud services using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar technologies.
- Troubleshoot environment‑specific cloud issues while upholding strong cloud security standards.
- Leverage Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel to strengthen security posture and ensure compliance.
- Build and maintain automation using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, Logic Apps, and Azure Functions.
- Configure and tune network security groups (NSGs), application gateways, and other protective cloud controls.
- Manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across cloud environments while ensuring adherence to security and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions are fully integrated, resilient, and aligned with mission requirements.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of hands‑on cloud engineering and/or cloud development experience.
- Background designing and deploying cloud solutions using DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or Docker.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, or BICEP.
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and cloud architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
- Strong scripting capability with tools like PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or JSON.
- Experience supporting secure environments with strict compliance requirements.
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, SSCP, CCNA Security) within six months if not already held.
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies and experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Understanding of federal compliance frameworks such as FIPS‑199, NIST SP 800‑53, NIST SP 800‑53A, NIST SP 800‑37, and the DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Work Environment
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Occasional movement around the office for equipment access or collaboration.
- Frequent communication with team members, leadership, and customers — including presenting technical information clearly and accurately.
Benefits
Pay Range: $120,800 - $265,800
