Job summary

Invesco Ltd. is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud Engineering team responsible for the AWS platform.

You will drive development and stability of cloud services, implement Terraform modules, and own the product vision for cloud infrastructure. The role requires 8+ years in engineering, deep AWS experience, and a passion for automation, security, and scalable patterns. Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Terraform Modules and AWS services you own.
• Work with developers and platform teams to gather requirements and prioritize features.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog to align with customer needs.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, user feedback, and key metrics for continuous improvement.
• Design a secure Cloud Foundation, repeatable cloud patterns, templates, and accelerators for faster adoption.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and improve security/compliance.
• Document the cloud compute platform comprehensively.
• Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to other team members.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including developers.

About the Team:

Invesco’s Cloud Engineering team is dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions that empower the business to achieve their goals, with responsibility for the AWS cloud platform. The team’s mission is to design and build automation to enable Application Teams to deliver business value faster, simplifying processes, while ensuring quality and compliance of infrastructure. The team is comprised of 18 Engineers located in offices globally (NA, EMEA, and AP), working alongside Cloud Operations and vendor partners.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team and drive the development and stability of our cloud platforms.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Product Ownership:Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Terraform Modules and AWS services you are primary service owner for.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with stakeholders, including developers and platform teams to gather requirements and prioritize features.
• Backlog Management:Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
• Monitoring:Monitor infrastructure performance, user feedback, and key metrics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Design a secure Cloud Foundation, repeatable cloud patterns, templates, and/or accelerators to enable faster adoption of cloud services.
• DevelopInfrastructure as Code to automate infrastructureprovisioning,shifting security andcompliance left.
• Documentation:Ensure comprehensive documentation of cloud compute platform.
• Provide technical mentoring and knowledge transfer to otherTechnologyresources.
• Build a strong relationship and rapport with key stakeholders, includingdevelopers.

Requirements of the Role:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AWS cloud technologies and architecture.
• 8+ years-experience engineering and implementing global enterprise solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Passionate aboutidentifyingand solving problems for customers and constantly improving customer experience.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills area must.
• The ability to collaborate in a distributed team environment is critical, as well as leading cross-functional meetings to efficiently drive desirable outcomes.
• Expertiseand understanding of Agile and DevOps operating model.
• Experience intransforminglegacy applications to cloud native architectures.
