Lam Research Corporation is seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Technology Lead in California to oversee Azure-centric cloud data solutions. The role is hands-on and leadership focused, guiding architecture, governance, security, and operations across cloud environments.

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of cloud engineering experience with strong Azure expertise; AWS/GCP familiarity is a plus. Hybrid/remote-friendly work models are available in Lam’s flexible locations.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of cloud engineering or related leadership experience.
• Extensive Azure design, governance, and security experience.
• Hands-on experience with IaC, CI/CD, and multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) preferred.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, APIs, and security controls.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable cloud data technology solutions in Azure.
• Define cloud architecture standards and guidelines; participate in reviews and ensure well-architected framework compliance.
• Develop cloud technology strategy aligned with governance and business priorities.
• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources (VMs, containers, serverless, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
• Implement cloud governance, IAM, security controls, compliance, and DR/BC planning.
• Optimize cost, performance, reliability, and ops via monitoring and automation.
• Mentor engineers and lead cloud engineering communities of practice.
• Collaborate with data architects, security, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Identify AI opportunities to improve cloud operations and engineering productivity.

The impact you’ll make

We are seeking an experienced cloud data platform technology Lead to join our team. This role will oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud data technology with a primary focus on Azure and additional support across AWS and GCP environments. . The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, security, governance, and operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes providing technical direction while actively supporting day-to-day infrastructure activities.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud data technology solutions across Microsoft Azure environments.
• Define cloud architecture standards and design guidelines, participate in architecture reviews, and help teams implement well-architected framework principles.
• Develop and maintain a cloud technology strategy aligned with business priorities, governance requirements, and operational standards.
• Provision, configure, and manage Azure cloud resources, including virtual machines, containers, serverless services, and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
• Implement cloud governance, identity and access management, security controls, compliance practices, and business continuity/disaster recovery processes.
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency through monitoring, automation, standard procedures, and incident response practices.
• Support engineering teams by promoting consistent cloud engineering practices and evaluating tools that improve automation, monitoring, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Drive AI adoption by identifying opportunities to apply AI-enabled tools and automation that improve cloud operations, engineering productivity, monitoring, and service reliability.
• Mentor senior engineers and architects while leading cloud engineering communities of practice to promote shared standards and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data architects, security, and business stakeholders, to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.

Who we’re looking for

• 12+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform operations, enterprise data technology modernization, or large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience designing and operating cloud technology with Microsoft Azure as the preferred platform. Experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, networking, identity and access management, monitoring, automation, high availability, and disaster recovery principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security, governance frameworks, resource provisioning, configuration management, CI/CD integration, scripting, and operational support for enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise application platforms, data integrations, APIs, databases, manufacturing systems or business-critical operational environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of cloud governance, lifecycle management, metadata, access controls, compliance requirements, and operational quality frameworks.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions, partner with business and engineering stakeholders, and translate operational needs into scalable cloud data platform solutions.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Relevant cloud technology certification in Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 - $287,000.00.
