Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Cloud Engagement Architect to join a growing technology consulting organization supporting complex cloud and security transformation initiatives.

The Cloud Engagement Architect will serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, developing cloud strategies, designing secure and compliant architectures, and leading cloud engagements from initial planning through implementation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in security systems engineering or enterprise infrastructure.
• 5+ years of cloud architecture experience across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience in professional services or technology consulting organization.
• Knowledge of Federal and/or DoD cloud security requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing cloud architecture and security engagements across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop cloud strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
• Design secure and compliant enterprise cloud architectures and boundary protection.
• Lead greenfield and brownfield cloud modernization initiatives.
• Design and implement IaC-driven cloud infrastructure.
• Develop architecture and security documentation per industry best practices.
• Partner with compliance teams for Federal/DoD cloud security.
• Communicate architecture decisions and risks to client stakeholders.
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget.
