Job summary

NorthHill Technology seeks a Senior Cloud / DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure in Beavercreek, OH, supporting a DoD classified environment. The role requires hands-on IaC with Bicep/Terraform, Azure Virtual Desktop, and automation pipelines.

Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance, experience in secure government deployments, and be willing to work on-site in Ohio. A strong background in automation and scalable infrastructure is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience in a classified Azure region or air-gapped network.
• Hands-on Azure infrastructure provisioning via Bicep or Terraform.
• Demonstrated experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Experience building golden images with Packer and automating pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 3+ years of leadership experience OR equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage Azure infrastructure via IaC (Bicep/JSON/YAML/PowerShell).
• Provision and maintain core Azure resources (storage, Key Vault, VMs, VNets).
• Deploy and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop environments (host pools, app groups).
• Build golden images with Packer and rotate via pipelines.
• Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for infra and app delivery.
• Troubleshoot deployment and operational issues; document resolutions.
• Coordinate with onsite/remote teams for validation and handoff.
