Job summary

Tech Holding in Agoura Hills, CA, is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer for a project-based contract to own and evolve a GCP platform across networking, IAM, security, governance, and automation. This hands-on role combines deep GCP expertise with cloud architecture leadership, guiding teams and maintaining IaC.

You’ll inherit an existing environment, extend the landing zone, enforce standards, and ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and security.

Qualifications

• Deep GCP experience with ability to design and evolve landing zones.
• Terraform/OpenTofu (Terragrunt) capable with IaC patterns.
• Ability to read and extend existing code without rewriting.
• Strong CI/CD, observability, and release safety practices.
• Excellent independent work and clear communication with engineers and stakeholders.
• Nice to Have: Gemini Enterprise experience and AWS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve our GCP landing zone across networking, IAM, security, and governance as requirements change.
• Maintain and extend our infrastructure-as-code estate and the automation that deploys it.
• Serve as the architectural authority for cloud and system design — set standards, review designs, and guide teams toward them.
• Support engineering teams onboarding onto the platform, and keep the self-service path smooth.
• Keep the platform healthy over time: cost, security posture, reliability, and reducing drift between what's documented and what's running.
• Advocate for DevOps practices across the organization.
