Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Sr. Cloud Developer to join our San Jose, CA team on a hybrid schedule. The role focuses on building cloud-native solutions primarily in Golang, with emphasis on scalable, distributed systems across multiple cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in software development with cloud development experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads feature design and development of complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration for building efficient, scalable, and robust cloud subsystems.
• Reviews and evaluates designs, test plans, and develops code for compliance with cloud design and development guidelines and standards.
• Provides tangible feedback to improve product quality, mitigate risks and demonstrates critical thinking.
• Represents the engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
• Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
• Analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Job Description

HPE is seeking to hire a Sr. Cloud Developer to work in our San Jose, CA office on a hybrid schedule. This person will be mostly developing in Golang. The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems. This role brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements. The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.

Location

This a Hybrid Position in our San Jose, CA office. This require at least 2 days of week in office.

Education And Experience Required

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• 7 + years of experience in software development with cloud development experience.

Knowledge And Skills

• 5+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable and distributed cloud software applications
• Demonstrated expertise working with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
• Solid knowledge of cloud security, best practices, standards and tooling
• Strong programming skills in Golang
• Working experience of microservices backend development using Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in designing and building GraphQL and Restful APIs
• Experienced with ArangoDB AQL or other Graph database
• Experience in performance analysis and tools
• (Preferred) Working knowledge of large event stream platforms (Kafka or similar message bus architecture), AAA/NAC, Databases (Clickhouse, Postgres)
• Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
