Job summary

State Street Investment Management is seeking an Officer-level Senior Data Engineer (Cloud & Analytics) for its Boston office to design and build cloud-based data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and AI use cases for CCG and CBO teams.

The role requires hands-on engineering, system integration, and AI-enabled approaches. You will own technical components, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to architecture discussions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6–10 years IT experience with focus on Data Engineering.
• 4+ years building data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Senior data engineer/ETL experience on complex problems.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support end-to-end data pipelines with AWS, Redshift, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Implement and maintain enterprise system-to-system integrations using APIs and secure auth.
• Build data ingestion, transformation, and validation frameworks using Python, SQL, and Shell.
• Develop and optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and data quality.
• Collaborate with product owners and analytics teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Support production stability, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
