Job summary

Dark Wolf Solutions seeks a Defensive Cyber Operations Analyst to monitor and respond to cyber threats, on-site at Hill AFB in Ogden, Utah. You will perform hands-on incident response across on-prem ELK and AWS GovCloud (Splunk Enterprise), leveraging AI/ML to accelerate threat detection and remediation.

The role requires DoD-related certifications, CS/IT degree, and US citizenship with Top Secret/SCI clearance, plus experience with DoD requirements and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC/incident response.
• 2+ years using Splunk Enterprise and ELK for event correlation.
• Direct AWS GovCloud monitoring experience (CloudTrail, VPC logs).
• GitLab CI/CD workflows experience in DevSecOps contexts.
• 2+ years applying DoD cybersecurity requirements and policies.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT CSSP certification required before hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT field.
• US Citizenship with active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Active monitoring and analysis across on-prem ELK and cloud AWS GovCloud (Splunk).
• AI-assisted triage, correlation of data, and rapid threat detection.
• Vulnerability management with mitigation recommendations.
• Intrusion analysis and remediation guidance to improve defenses.
• Root Cause Analysis documentation and action tracking.
• Develop DCO TTPs and supporting materials.
• Identify discrepancies and respond to security incidents.
• Draft briefings, reports, and analyses for leadership.
• Participate in customer exercises and required trainings.
