Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is hiring a backend software engineer to design, develop, and enhance backend services, APIs, and server-side components for distributed cloud systems. You will work within existing architectures to build reliable services and may propose architectural improvements.

The role requires strong OO programming with Java or similar languages and a track record in scalable distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge of distributed system fundamentals and object-oriented design.
• Proficient in Java or other OO languages such as Java, C++, C#, Go.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and enhance backend services, APIs, and server-side components for distributed cloud systems.
• Provide technical leadership to other software developers.
• Suggest incremental architectural improvements aligned with design specifications.
