Job summary

A leading technology services provider is seeking an experienced Infrastructure / Cloud Automation Engineer in Dallas, Texas, to design, build, and maintain secure automation across AWS. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 5–8+ years in Linux systems engineering. Responsibilities include developing Chef cookbooks, managing AWS AMIs, and executing infrastructure as code workflows. Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands on experience in Linux systems engineering and OS hardening.
• Proven experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms: AWS and Azure.
• Hands on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Chef cookbooks, recipes, and policies for OS baseline configurations.
• Automate onboarding of Linux systems into Chef with compliance validation.
• Manage the monthly golden image lifecycle including patching and validation.
• Build and manage AWS AMIs and Azure Managed Images across accounts.
• Integrate image engineering and IaC workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
