Job summary

Origence, Irvine, CA, is seeking a Sr. Cloud Architect to design and execute cloud infrastructure strategies.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Development, QA, DevOps, and Engineering to migrate, build and deploy applications, and ensure platform consistency through automation. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in cloud architecture, expert knowledge of cloud components, scripting (JSON/YAML), and tooling (PowerShell, ARM, Terraform, Ansible).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Seven years’ technical experience with cloud architecture, preferably Azure or AWS.
• Expert knowledge of cloud components and services (Storage, Configuration, Compute, Containers, Azure AD, etc.).
• Expert knowledge in scripting languages such as JSON and YAML & tools like PowerShell, ARM, Terraform (IaC), Ansible.
• Understanding of relational databases (Microsoft SQL) and non-relational databases (CosmosDB).

Responsibilities

• Architectural Expertise: understand application functionality and operational processes; develop IaC scripts for repeatability across environments.
• Cloud Platform: advise on cloud offerings, monitoring, break-fix, and architectural trade-offs.
• Stewardship: participate in Architectural Reviews and audit cloud environments for improvements.
