Job summary

Autodesk seeks a Senior Cloud & AI FinOps Analyst to expand FinOps services across multi-cloud infrastructure, SaaS AI platforms, and developer tools. You will drive self-service capabilities, improve spend visibility, and automate cost optimization workflows using AWS, Azure, GCP, and AI apps.

You will lead a FinOps Champion Network and collaborate across engineering, finance, product, cloud, and automation teams to improve cost governance, forecasting, and attribution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or FinOps Analyst.
• Experience eliciting requirements, mapping processes, facilitating stakeholders, and delivering stakeholder-facing capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including metric definition, data validation, ambiguity management, and evidence-based communication.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards using Apptio Cloudability, Apptio BI, Turbonomic, or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Own stakeholder-facing FinOps capabilities, including dashboards, reporting, documentation, enablement, automation, and intake workflows.
• Manage the FinOps services portal as the central self-service resource for cloud and AI services, optimization guidance, license support, and budget assistance.
• Maintain the FinOps operating model, including roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and continuous improvement.
• Lead a FinOps Champion Network across engineering, finance, and product teams.
• Promote governance practices such as showback and chargeback, KPI standardization, infrastructure tagging, and AI tool user attribution.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting in Apptio Cloudability, Apptio BI, and Turbonomic.
• Define metric standards, validate data quality, and improve reporting usability.
• Track AI application usage, user seats, license utilization, and token consumption across developer and corporate tools.
• Analyze spend anomalies, monthly variances, and major cost drivers, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Establish allocation logic and tagging requirements for accurate cost attribution to business units.
• Productize cost optimization activities through automation, recommendations, approvals, execution, and verification.
• Support cloud and AI spend forecasting, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
• Improve cloud rates and AI vendor economics through commitments and discounts.
• Partner with cloud and automation teams to implement guardrails.

About the Role

Autodesk is seeking a Senior Cloud & AI FinOps Analyst to expand FinOps services for internal stakeholders across multi-cloud infrastructure, SaaS AI platforms, developer tools, and API-based foundation models. The role combines FinOps execution, business systems analysis, advanced analytics, and product ownership. You will develop self-service capabilities, improve spend visibility, and automate recommendation and optimization workflows across AWS, Azure, GCP, and AI applications. You will collaborate with engineering, finance, product, cloud, and automation teams to improve cost governance, attribution, forecasting, and decision-making. The role also includes leading a FinOps Champion Network and supporting the adoption of shared operating practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or FinOps Analyst.
• Experience with requirements elicitation, process mapping, stakeholder facilitation, and delivering stakeholder-facing capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including metric definition, data validation, ambiguity management, and evidence-based communication.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards using Apptio Cloudability, Apptio BI, Turbonomic, or comparable platform-native tools.
• Working knowledge of cloud billing and pricing across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Understanding of SaaS and AI licensing models, including user seats, token-based consumption, and API pricing tiers.
• Experience partnering with technical teams on infrastructure or SaaS lifecycle automation.
• Ability to define automation requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation and executive-level reporting.
• Customer-focused approach to service delivery, expectation setting, and self-service improvement.

• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP) certification or higher.

Compensation

For U.S.-based roles, the expected starting base salary is $98,000-$175,450. Offers are determined by experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. Additional compensation may include annual cash bonuses, sales commissions where applicable, stock grants, and benefits.
