Job Details
  • Target Salary Range: $150K to $162K
  • Travel: Occasional travel to clinical sites as needed

Job Summary

Manage advanced clinical research studies for product development initiatives in the contact lens industry.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  1. Plan and manage all aspects of clinical evaluation of product performance, including study design, protocol writing, study execution, statistical analysis, report writing, and participation in R&D teams.
  2. Coordinate clinical protocol execution with research centers.
  3. Apply research design knowledge, hypothesis testing, and technical communication skills.
  4. Stay informed on literature and knowledge related to contact lenses.
  5. Understand and apply regulatory requirements (GCP, IRB, FDA, ISO, EU MDR) under clinical management guidance.
  6. Conduct clinical assessments and serve as Sub-Investigator under the Principal Investigator.
  7. Leverage experience, current trends, and competitor knowledge to contribute to product development and scientific presentations.
Qualifications
  • Research design, statistical analysis, medical writing, GCP, and Design Control knowledge.
  • Understanding of biological and optical factors affecting contact lens safety and performance.
  • Optometry/Ophthalmology experience preferred.
  • Attention to detail, systematic approach, and meticulous work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including medical/scientific terminology.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new information.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Organized, capable of multitasking, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Work environment includes office and ophthalmic exam settings.
  • Physical effort is sedentary to light.
  • Extensive contact with colleagues and external researchers.

  • Educational qualifications: OD or equivalent + MS or OD or equivalent + 2 years, or PhD + 2 years.
