The University of Miami, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL, is seeking a Clinical Research Associate 2 for a full-time role. The incumbent will lead planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of multiple protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor junior staff.

Key duties include coordinating complex protocols, overseeing recruitment, managing sample processing, and ensuring ethical and regulatory adherence across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data.
• Ability to recognize, analyze and solve diverse problems.
• Capable of prioritizing work under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of multiple complex clinical research protocols.
• Develop SOPs and templates with guidance from PI/CR Manager.
• Oversee eligibility screening and recruitment activities to increase accrual.
• Manage sample processing, packing and shipping per protocol and standards.
• Plan monitoring, documentation, reporting and follow-up on deviations.
• Develop preventive/corrective actions and best practices.
• Lead protocol implementation and communicate progress to investigators.
• Ensure ethical considerations and coordinate audits/site visits.
• Coordinate study meetings and cross-team communications.
• Align study visits with data collection schedules and timelines.
• Prepare information for reports and publications; disseminate findings.
