Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree required; state license required.
• 3–5 years pharmacist experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge in drug information, IV admixtures, ambulatory, manufacturing, and drug distribution.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction to pharmacist and support staff, following policy and procedure and promoting professional behavior.
• Provides feedback to managers for performance appraisal of staff and colleagues.
• Operates within the limits of pharmacy policy and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with target drug programs, formulary management, and adverse drug event monitoring.
• Documents and reports clinical interventions, medication errors, and adverse drug events.
• Participates in department quality improvement efforts and rounds with the medical team.
