Job summary

Charles River is seeking a highly experienced Clinical Pathologist to oversee all aspects of clinical pathology on research studies. You will collaborate with Study Directors to interpret endpoints and contribute to protocol development, measurement, and reporting.

The role involves serving as the Study Clinical Pathologist or PI on projects and expanding assay capabilities. The position supports a hybrid or remote work schedule with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent required.
• Ph.D. in Clinical Pathology or related discipline preferred.
• Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (DACVP) required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret clinical pathology data and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Serve as Study Clinical Pathologist or Principal Investigator on studies including in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry.
• Interact with Anatomic Pathologists to ensure correlations for endpoints.
• Evaluate specimens such as blood and bone marrow smears, urinalysis sediments, and body fluids.
• Contribute to experimental design, method development, and expansion of assays.
• Assist in on-site employee training and SOP development.
