Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years clinical experience required.
• Master's Degree and/or Specialty Certification can serve in place of 5 years of experience.
• Registered Dietitian and licensed by the state Board of Dietetics.
• Experience as a clinical team leader or supervisor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes goals and oversees implementation of clinical nutrition care.
• Participates in clinical nutrition initiatives and Performance Improvement Programs.
• Hires, leads, coaches, trains, and develops clinical nutrition team members.
• Manages departmental clinical nutrition budget and leads margin improvement initiatives.
• Oversees systems to meet department objectives and patient satisfaction goals.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with federal, state, and JCAHO surveys.
• Provides medical nutrition therapy in absence of the dietitian.
• Collaborates with Food Services dietitians on menu planning.
• Communicates with team, patients, and families through various channels.
