Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director. The RN will coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in the unit.

Requirements include graduation from a professional nursing program, NC RN license, and BLS certification. Experience of at least one year and a commitment to quality patient care are expected, with a typical 36-hour work week and day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• One year of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in evaluation with the interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation - Delivers competent care for patients with complex problems and follows policies and procedures.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals and effective communication within the team.
• Patient Assessment - Synthesizes assessment data to determine care priorities and discharge planning needs.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to update the plan of care and coordinates resources.
